We made it to the end of another fun school year. Please take some time to rest, relax, and enjoy the summer!

Choir is Fun!

Some fun news about our FANTASTIC choir program.

Mosaic, Nuance, and Fusion performed for students at Chinook Elementary, Edith Wolford Elementary, and Mountain View Elementary during lunch. They had the kids speaking and beat boxing into the mics and even dancing in the aisles. The elementary kids were so enthralled some of them even forgot to eat! It was great to witness the interaction between high schoolers and elementary students.

A select group of choir students performed the National Anthem for the U.S. Figure Skating World Championships at The Broadmoor World Arena. It was an amazing performance and an exciting night as they could cheer on Team USA.

Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Chamber Singers, and Festival performed for CHSAA Choral Festival and all groups did an awesome job! We’re so proud of our students. All groups scored Superiors (the highest score possible). Way to go! By the way, this is the 18th year that Pine Creek’s Choirs have scored Superiors…proof that quality music education happens in PCHS Choir!

Choir is fun. More updates to follow. Senior Luncheon, Graduation, and of course…POPS CONCERT!

Congratulations All-State Choir Members

Festival Singers were a featured performing group for the Colorado Music Educator’s Association (CMEA) Conference. The choir sounded amazing! It was an honor to be selected and to perform for CMEA. Festival Singers worked really hard to prepare an inspirational set of music and it was a life-changing musical opportunity. Pine Creek has one of the best choir programs in the state. Congratulations!

We are half way into the school year and things are still going strong. All the choirs are improving their sight-reading, singing triads and scales, interval ear-training, and music theory. Also we are having loads of fun getting ready for our concerts. This semester if full of performing opportunities! CMEA Honored Performance, Colorado All-State Choir, Spring Concert, school assemblies, community performances, CHSAA Large Group Festival, and of course our very popular POPS CONCERT!
